NWSL Challenge Cup
This weekend's action kicked off with Utah Royals running out 1-0 winners over, Sky Blue FC. Royals forward Amy Rodriguez grabbed the only goal on 41 minutes. Sky Blue edged the games possession but failed to resister a single shot on target.
OL Reign suffered defeat 2-0 to Houston Dash. Kristie Mewis and Shea Groom getting the goals on 12 and 54 minutes respectively. Reign failed to turn their 58% possession into any attempts on target.
An 83' minute goal from Abby Erceg was enough for North Carolina to beat Chicago. A win which sees them top the preliminary stage currently.

Of the four fixtures on Saturday only Rosengrad managed a win. A 43' minute goal from Glodis Viggosdottir securing the points and victory over Kristianstads. Eskilstuna United and Goteborg drew 1-1 as did, Vaxjo and Uppsala and Djurgarden and Umea.
Linkopings went to Vittsjo and came away with 3 points following a 2-1 win. Goals from Ebere Orji and Frida Leonhardsen-Maanum in the second half. Clara Markstedt had given the home side a half time lead. The other match saw another 1-1 draw this time between Pitea and Orebro.
Linkopings and Rosengard top the table with two wins from two. While Vittsjo and Kristianstads sit at the bottom without any points.
Elitettan
A top of the table clash on Sunday as AIK traveled to Moron. Both sides had won all four of their previous fixtures. Hayley Dowd, with her sixth of the season gave Moron the lead on 15' minutes. AIK leveled the game on 29' with a Sara Nordin goal to send the sides in level at the break. Jenny Danielsson missed from the spot on 59' minutes. She did give AIK the lead on 63' with her fourth goal of the season. Late drama came as Dowd missed from the spot and missed the chance to give Moron a share of the points.
The win means AIK top the table with 15 points and Moron sot second on 12.

DFB Pokal Women Final
A thrilling final in the Pokal between Wolfsburg and SGS Essen.
Essen got off to a flying start with Lea Schuller scoring in the first minute. Pernille Harders' 11' minute goal for Wolfsburg cancelled out Essens' lead. But it was only for 7' minutes as Marina Hegering restored the lead. Wolfsburg leveled again on 70' though Anna Blasse and then lead on 86' thanks to a Dominique Bloodworth goal. Essen were not done and equalised themselves in stoppage time. Irini Ioannidou on as a sub with the goal.
Extra time ended with no goals so the match went to penalties.
Both sides converted their first two spot kicks. Alexandra Popp the missed with Wolfsburg's' third, but Ioannidou missed the chance to give Essen the lead. Lena Goessling made no mistake to make 3-2. Nina Bruggemann failed to score leaving Pernille Harder the chance to win it for Wolfsburg. She duly scored to give Wolfsburg their seventh Pokal.
