Llanelli Town 0-6 Briton Ferry Llansawel: Walkley double inspires Ferry Victory

Llanelli tried to make if difficult for the Reds during the first half playing deep and defending in numbers. Ferry did manage to make the breakthrough after 28 minutes when Fleur Jenkins opened the scoring. Five minutes later Laura-May Walkley added a second sending Ferry into half time two up. The Reds controlled the second half and barely allowed Llanelli out of their half. A 85th minute penalty for Adran South Under 19 leaders Cardiff City denied the Reds a huge away win. Gwen Strang had given the Reds the lead in the 24th minute but the host rescued a point though Mali Ackerman's penalty. Ridings was hand once again to cut out a dangerous cross from the right. Briton Ferry made it seven wins from seven in the Genero Adran South with a 5-1 win over Swansea Uni at Old Road. The visitors made it hard for the Reds in the first half but four goals early in the second secured victory for the league leaders. Briton Ferry began the year with a win as they saw off Caldicot Town 3-0 in the Genero Adran South at Old Road. The visitors sat deep and narrow and were able to frustrate the reds for long periods of the half. Alison Witts made a dream start to her Briton Ferry career as she smashed five goals in the Reds 11-0 win over Pontardawe. Adran South Fixtures released

Adran South holders Briton Ferry Llansawel today found out their fixtures for the 2023/2024 season as the Reds look to defend their title. The champions will start with a home game as Pontardawe Town will be the visitors to Road Old on September 3rd. The sides met five times last season with the Reds winning all five games.
